WHAT WE DO
Alligator Snaps run exciting, creative and at times challenging after school and Holiday Photography Clubs for children and young people in North London. Set up in 2011, we have been facilitating the young photographers of our future.
Our aim is to provide fun, creative and inspiring classes for children and young people to learn and discover the functions of digital cameras and the language of digital photography.
Working mostly in schools, our clubs encourage children to explore the visual world around us through digital photography. With a focus on individuality of style and expression the club is suitable for all abilities .
Our skillfully designed clubs developes an understanding of the cameras, the functions and how to capture the image they see.
In today's image saturated culture, photography is fast becoming not only an expanding art form, but a means of communication and expression. It is a creative art as well as a valuable skill in many areas of education, for research and documentation.
Each term children get weekly A4 prints of their work and all images as thumbnails. At the end of each term or holiday club they compile a portfolio of work for them to take home. A3 images can be purchased at an extra cost
Added to this we aim to do exhibitions when and where possible so the children can take pride in seeing their achievements on display. We hope to collaborate with the Crouch End Festival to have work included when it is next on.
We are in the process of getting a canvas printer, so watch this space for competitive pricing and super quality copies of your children's artworks.
That's all to be said here, except, let the images do the talking.
